So, tonight I went to my quilt guild The Other Group and we had so much fun! We made (well Beckys husband made) quilt ladders while the girls made pin cushions. I can't wait to paint my ladder and get it in use. My quilts will be happy to get out of the pile on my shelf and hang with dignity. :) The pincushions used vintage buttons and hand dyed doilies. We filled them with crushed walnut shells, which I hear is good for pins. The night was spent giggling (yes, grown women can do that) and swapping ideas for the next year in our other groups.
I must say that I am sad though . My camera is in California on some cute little repairmans desk so I can't post pictures of our fabulous creations. But it is just as well cuz I may be handing them out for Christmas presents, and where would be the surprize?
Soon to come also are my picts of the great things I recieved in the swaps I joined. I swapped buttons with a cute girl who also went over the top and sent me a handfull of darling handmade cards. I can't wait to show them off. Did I mention how much fun it is to get a surprize package in the mail?
